Marc Jacobs' time travelers

Photobucket
Marc Jacobs skipped the 60's this season and went straight to the 70's, with high waisted pant, big hair, bright colors, high waisted short, and long floor length dresses. Everything about this collection is Big I guess Marc's motto this season was go big or go home. Even though I thought the collection was nice, I still love some of the past collection even more like the s/s 10 collection and f/w 10.

Proenza Schouler's Universe

As soon as I saw the show last night I needed the HQ pictures for Proenza Schouler. The boys are geniuses seriously, were do I even begin here I love absolutely everything I couldn't even pick between the pictures. This collection is for the Proenza girl to be a bit more elegant I guess you could say. The pencil skirts with the tweed like Chanel jackets are perfect for more serious occasion. The skirts that are made of suede I believe are probably one of my favorite pieces and paired with the long sleeved button up shirt it's perfect. Also of you saw the shows most of the dresses and some shirts expose the back which I find extremely sexy. I could go on and on about how much I am in love with this collection, but I won't bore you to death. Anyone by just looking can see how utterly magnificent this collection is everything about it is just plain beautiful. I think this is my favorite collection so far.

Alexander Wang's white sky

Finally I get around to my Alexander Wang review. When I first saw the collection I didn't know what to think about it, kind of why I took forever to write the review. First off the obvious there is no black! Coming from the designer that most collections are dark colors it was a bit refreshing seeing the all this white. I wasn't the biggest fan of the fall collection but I like this one not love it like S/S 2010 because that was probably love at first sight with wang. I love the fabric he used for his dresses it makes them flowy like a lot of the other collections I been seeing but the fabric makes it stand apart. The sweaters of course Wang specialty are as magnificent as always. The shoes are amazing, I am positive hollywood will be flooded with them by december, if i could just get my hands on one pair my life would be completed. After much overlooking it and reading others reviews I come to the conclusion that I actually quite like this collection, another great job by Alexander Wang. On another note did anyone watch the Proenza Schouler show tonight? I forgot to mention it, well if you did watch it did you think it was a piece of heaven? I can't wait for the HQ pictures so I can flood my blog with them of course the boys from Proenza are fashion geniuses.

Derek Lam's Safari Outing

Derek Lam's collection is quite elegant but casual at the same time, it will all depend on how you wear the pieces. The skirts and dresses have longer hemlines, do we thank Marc Jacobs for bringing that back last season at Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. The prints are also very nice still loving the safari looks which is still being incorporated into these new seasons. The gowns I am in love with, they are so simple yet stunningly beautiful. Am I the only that has noticed that every designer has at least one jumpsuit in their collection, while i'm not so fond of them for personal reasons I think they might be growing on me.

Another take on spring and summer collections is Peter Som's. His collection is for that girl that is willing to have fun with her clothes. His collection has all the essentials for a very fun spring/summer, the print shirts and dresses are amazing and mixing them is even better. All the color are very bright so they pop which is a very lovely look and the textures of the dresses I bet they feel as soft as clouds. Don't forget to check out Marc Jacobs show tonight at 8 pm est on his website, also tomorrow at 4pm est is the Marc by Marc Jacobs show on his website as well. For the gossip girl lovers like me finally after a whole summer of waiting the new season is beginning tonight at 9pm you know I will be watching.

Jason Wu's Dream World

Before this collection I wasn't Wu's biggest fan, sure I loved a couple of pieces that pink feather dress with the green belt, but seeing this collection I am head over heels for him. The collection is so sophisticated everything a modern woman wants it has the very chic and sheer shirt that every woman should have atleast one in their closet. The tailored blazer which he kind of made into an almost trench coat. Lovely skirts that are so elegant and the dresses whether they are for cocktails or a red carpet they are to die for especially the cream one with the colorful details. Wu's collection is everything i'm looking forward to for spring and summer 2011. More reviews to come so stay tuned.

New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion week has finally graced us with it's presence, of course my little fashion heart is overfilled with joy and happiness because nothing makes this girl happier than new clothes to dream about having in her Carrie Bradshaw closet. The first collection I am in love with is Organic by John Patrick, the collection will be perfect for spring & summer very laid back but still very preppy and did you notice the shoes, I will make sure I get my hands on a pair of those. These outfits are perefect for the girl version of Vampire Weekend's front man Ezra Koenig. Very prepster indeed.
