Chanel & McQueen Heaven

Photobucket
This is my 100th post so I decided to wait for Chanel & Alexader McQueen collections to make it like a celebratory post. Well first of Chanel, I feel like most of the collections this season besides a couple are decent collection like they're okay not the best thing from the designer and sadly Mr. Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel collection is under that list. I thought the collection was alright the pieces seemed to be all over the place but yet he still manages to make them seem Chanel worthy. The details are great and the combination of edgy girl and lady like girl. Like stated before this isn't his best but there are still pieces to die for like those sweater dressing that I absolutely adore.

Oh Alexander Lee McQueen how you are missed, after seeing his couture pieces and how they had been finished for him I wanted to see how the collection would be and if they could make it feel like an Alexander McQueen collection and honestly I think they did indeed. The pieces are art work and are just breath taking all the dresses and gowns make my fashion heart skip a beat I felt the collection was very magical almost as if McQueen was saying I have passed away but here is my baby take care of it fashion world. Truly amazing thank you Sarah Burton you have made Alexander McQueen very happy in fashion heaven and the rest of teh fashion world truly content as well.

Armani Prive: Very Classic, Georgio Armani was inspired by old hollywood for this collection. The gowns are truly something wonderful, the embellishment and details.
Chanel: Even though a lot of people don't feel this is Haute Couture enough for Chanel I feel that that isn't true Karl did a magnificent job. This is so Coco Chanel mixed with Russian princess.
Elie Saab: If Goddess roamed the earth, these gowns would be worthy of them.
Givenchy: This collection left me Speechless, this is true art.
Jean Paul Gaultier: The women that wear this clothes are to envy, it's like 1920's with an edge.

If you saw Karl's short film Remember Now then you can see that the movie is like a little preview of this collection. Very 70's indeed high waisted pants, flowy dresses, and all that laid back look that the seventies brought. Most of the models ( including beautiful abbey, freja and natasha) were walking down the street/runway barefooted or in flats. I really love this collection its so down to earth you can wear chanel now and look like a total girl next door. The dresses in this collection are to die for anyone can throw one of these on and look effortlessly chic, whether it's in white or a mix of pastel colors that remind me of those beautiful hippie dresses that i've been hunting down in vintage shops. Like always well done Karl you are truly a fashion genius.

Fall Favorites

1. Balmain, I liked most of the dresses but this one I like the most the purple and gold mix well though there is a similar one he made the neck cut is different and I preferred this one.

2. Chanel, One show I will remain in my heart is this one truly amazing this look though I thought was the best.

3. D&G, One thing sweater everything and the furry boots oh yeah.

4 and 9. Rochas, So spectacular I had to pick two from the collection, of course it's all because of the bows and Brigitte Bardot/Marie Antoinette inspiration.

5 and 10. Vera Wang, My favorite collection of all Fall/Winter 10 talk about simply chic Ms.Wang couldn't have done a better job.

6. Dolce & Gabbana, Loved the whole no pants and of course that means more dresses and this black attire was just astounding.

7. Emanuel Ungaro, Thank God Lindsey didn't have to do anything with the collection this is officially one of my favorite collections especially thanks to this ensemble.

8. Marc by Marc Jacobs, Of course no one better than Marc himself. This collection was pure love just like his other three lines but this one I must say was a favorite.

Oh lovely Chanel

One of the shows I was most looking forward to seeing is Chanel of course. First and foremost I really like that Karl put iceberg in the runway it so gives you the wintery feeling. Also so much fur I don't think i've ever seen so much fur on any Chanel show. Like last season some of the jackets were still tweed and it looked lovely. The shoes were either really furry boots in some cases over the knee, others were like a mix of rain shoes and mary janes-ish, and some even had ice like heels, very creative I must say. Everything was so well done, you can obviously see that Mr. Karl is a pure genius.

The Chanel Spring Haute Couture show was by far my favorite show this season. It was really hard to pick my favorite designs but I managed to narrow it down to these. I enjoyed the mix between the muted hues color palette and the new metallics the ruffles and girly details went well with it as well. I also loved the hair and make up it all looks so well together. I've decided that the last picture is how me and my future husband will get married. Very well done Karl (:

The Christian Dior Spring Haute Couture show was also a favorite. I loved all the ruffles, lace, draping, ribbons, and bows. The look was very girly 20's of course with a modern twist. John managed to use a great varuety of colors and he did it very well. This were my favorites designs especially the yellow dress and I also adore the boots he has them wearing very lovely.
